What’s the difference between LF RFID Light Ear Tag and UHF RFID Ear Tags, how to choose?
For cattle rfid ear tags we have UHF, HF, and LF frequency. UHF rfid ear tag band is 860-960 MHz, Usually reading range has a few meters away. HF/LF rfid light ear tag reading range is within 10cm.
1. From size comparing, the size of UHF ear tags is usually larger. A larger size allows for larger antennas, which helps them have a longer reading range. And bigger surface is allowed much more content can be lasered or printed on surface.
2. UHF RFID Ear tags use RFID technology combines anti-collision algorithms to simultaneously read multiple tags within the reader range without interference or data loss.
3. UHF RFID Ear tag is used for counting. Can quickly and efficiently identify and track large mount of cattles in few seconds. For the management of animals that do not require movement or single animals., HF/LF rfid light ear tag is more suitable.
4. UHF RFID Ear tags are more susceptible to interference from metals, liquids, and other environmental factors due to their higher frequency. On the contrary, HF tags are usually less affected by interference and perform better when approaching liquid or metal objects
